Fingertapps Instruments is an interesting application that enables you to transform your computer into a musical instrument. Four musical instruments are supported: piano, guitar, drums, and looper; but only the piano is unlocked in the free, trial (Lite) version of this cool application. This app allows you to play all these virtual instruments, improve your playing skills, and even learn to play a new instrument.
Fingertapps Instruments is really attractive and entertaining, as it comes with neat and sophisticated visuals. Though it is more suitable for being used on multi touch screen systems, it can be used both effectively and enjoyably on PC system as well. The only disadvantage is that it doesn’t have a windowed mode, running only in full screen, but that’s pretty much the idea of turning the computer into a virtual instrument.
Fingertapps Instruments also comes with realistic sounds and some really nice additional features. For example, it offers a “play along” function that helps you learn how to play popular songs by showing you in advance which keys or chords should be pressed. It also lets you change the tempo and octave range as you like.
To sum it all up, Fingertapps Instruments is a nice application that definitely deserves at least a try, as it’s both entertaining and educational.
